e-Grand Rounds: Cardiology

On February 7, 2007 Mereja Likariv held its third international eGrandRounds program. This live interactive academic conference on selected topics in cardiology linked 21 rural and urban sites in Ukraine (16), the United States (4), and Slovakia (1). Physician-specialists in adult and pediatric cardiology, internal medicine, general / family practice, surgery and intensive care participated. International Fund Ukraina 3000 hosted Hospital to Hospital Program representatives and international guests.

Mr. Olexander Aleksandrovych, Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of Ukraine in the US, graciously opened the session. Presentations were delivered live in Ukrainian and in English with real-time translation to Ukrainian. Participants communicated via text chat throughout the program and by audio link during live interactive discussion after presentations.
